To inquire about positions:
Postdoctoral Candidates - email me with your CV, detailed description of past research accomplishments, and potential research projects you would like to complete in my lab. If you do not send me each of these, I may not respond to your e-mail.
PhD Candidates - I only accept graduate students to the lab after they complete a successful rotation. Therefore, if you are interested in becoming a graduate student in my lab, you must apply to a PhD program I am affiliated with (BCB, MCDB, or IGG) so that you have an opportunity to rotate with me. Inquire with the PhD programs directly if you have questions about your CV or the admissions process, as I will not respond to such inquiries. If you have specific questions about my research program, feel free to contact me.
Undergraduate students - Before contacting me, please ensure you can commit at least 5-10 hours per week to lab work. I give preference to undergraduates that have successfully completed my course, Gen 349 (The Genome Perspective in Biology). When you contact me, please let me know what time of day and which days you would be available for lab work, if you have taken my course, and why you are interested in my lab's research.
